A message from our MD

A message from our MD

As the nation experiences such unprecedented times, while the battle against COVID-19 ensues, our MD – Jonathan Oldfield – wanted to send a personal message to Riverside’s supporters…

Over the last couple of months, we have all seen our lives turn upside down. Many companies have lost customers and major business opportunities, leading to the unfortunate need to furlough staff – with the ultimate aim of being ready to ‘press go’ again once all this is over.

Although an incredibly frightening time for everyone, all we can do is listen to the official guidance, ride this lockdown period for as long as we must, and, ultimately, be content in the knowledge that this is to keep us all safe, prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and protect our wonderful NHS.

Here at Riverside, we are doing all we can to help to support our valued customers, colleagues and suppliers. We know that it is in no way ‘business as usual’ – for firms across all sectors – but we are still here, and available to help.

For as long as it remains safe for us to do so – and utilising the social distancing requirements – we are still able to service any of our waste machinery that requires it. In addition, should consumables be needed, these can be purchased – and subsequently delivered – by either visiting our online shop or emailing us.

If you simply want to use the extra time you have to glean some information on waste machinery that your business could benefit from in the near future, I am always at the end of the phone ready to advise.

Most importantly, don’t be alone. We all need to keep talking to each other – whether on a call or via video – to get through this strange event.

We don’t know how long it will last, but all we can do is prepare our companies, staff and communications, so that when the cloud is eventually lifted, we can get back to ‘normal’, whatever that may be.

Be strong, have hope, stay safe.

Jonathan
